    Milling machine/lathe options

I got one e-mail forwarded to me. I'm trying to clean my plate yesterday, today and tomorrow. In-laws in their 90's are high maintenance. I'll make a study and see if I want to make an offer.

    Milling machine/lathe options

Also thinking about taking up fly fishing and panning for gold. Don't need to catch anything or strike it rich. Just want to be alone and not have other humans trying to make me interact.

    Milling machine/lathe options

Not really a hobby, special interest to keep me from shutting myself off. I am Asperger's, not just the quirky, kinda funny kind like T.V. shows make sport of. The kind where the parents tried beating it out of the child. I'm damaged to the point I just want to be alone to pursue my interests...

    Milling machine/lathe options

Alrighty then, looking for advice on hobbyist sized machines for all these small parts I need to produce for airplane projects. What size is useful without being so large I need to build an addition to my hangar. Were to get what units that are of acceptable quality and what your experiences...

Just how fast was the SR-71?

I know his story well. Some mornings he would be at the jet 20-30 minutes ahead of everyone else and we could chat for a few minutes . He was always kindly toward us young enlisted folks and encouraging to be around. Looking back I believe he may have sensed my Asperger's and social awkwardness.

Just how fast was the SR-71?

You guys are all overthinking this. All you need is to watch a couple episodes of "The Roadrunner" and get the Acme Industries catalog the coyote uses. Bat wings, roller skates and a rocket belt.

Just how fast was the SR-71?

Great guy. He was one of the instructors on the T-38 when I was an 18 y.o. crew chief at that time. Crap, I'm getting old.

Only if the cylinders will be in spec at standard so Mack truck rings can be used, otherwise it gets spendy.

    Parts Wanted Stewert S51 PLANS

Perhaps, I'm not that up on it. Someone could contact them if they are really interested, I'm not.

They also will supply the longer wings as an option.

    Parts Wanted Stewert S51 PLANS

Looks like a nice S-51 on barnstormers and price not out of line for what it is.

    According to Titan it is.

    Parts Wanted Stewert S51 PLANS

Any of them are as good looking as you build them. Max horsepower? Really more a factor of torque and propeller. The Titan 51 is 3/4 scale and can be built with a Chevy LS engine. The kit price is a bargain compared to what the cost would be to produce a one of plans built. Get a set of the...

Parts For Sale Cheap Onan parts!

I'm in Ashwood South Carolina. I'm cleaning up the shop and thought someone may have need for this instead of loading them for scrap. How close to Florida depends on what part of the State. 8 minutes South of I-20 so just a minor detour if someone is traveling I-95.

    Parts Wanted Stewert S51 PLANS

For pilot skills a checkout in the T-6 or similar would be the least I would consider.

    Parts Wanted Stewert S51 PLANS

I haven't followed that closely. I only knew of the metal version being produced as kits.

    Parts Wanted Stewert S51 PLANS

The Stewart was never meant to be plans built, rather assembled from kits. It would be possible and has been done to use the SAL or Jurca drawings to produce an all metal version.

Perhaps confused with the SAL Mustang? The Stewart was designed from the onset as metal.
