    Lower rpm 2180

Wow lots of responses here with information beyond my current knowledge. Looks like I have some reading and research to do about camshafts and manifold pressure.

    Lower rpm 2180

Let's say one was building an airplane and needed an engine in the 65 peak hp range. The airplane would be a slow single seater with the 1835 being a candidate for an engine. Considering the tiny weight difference between the 1835 and 2180, would there be any advantage to using a 2180 propped to...

    Will I fit?

Neil that's good to know. I was kind of skeptical of the gross weight for a plane this small. I guess hauling passengers wasn't the original mission for the sonerai so I shouldn't expect it to perform well at gross but it is nice to at least have the option.

    Will I fit?

I would also like some info regarding pilot size. I'm 6'3" 200lbs and have had my eye on the sonerai for a while now. According to the info on the sonex web site, the stretch fuselage adds 18" to the fuselage. 6" to the front seat and 12" to the back. That would be a pretty significant increase...

    Subaru EA81

Hello all. I'm currently in the market for a new to me aircraft. One of the possible options is a ch601 powered by a Subaru EA 81 with a Johnson redrive. I can't find any recent information about these engines and how they hold up long term. Does anyone have any experience that can help me...
