GA's tapered and swept tail for aesthetic reason?

Hi, GA usually use tapered and swept tail. The tail usually has lower AR than the wing and when AR is low, the straight wing Oswald efficiency factor is already quite close to 1 and the tapered design brings manufacturing difficulties. So I can’t see a lot sense to taper the tail. Swept tail can slightly increase the effective dihedral but it is far more efficiently to increase the effective dihedral by increasing the wing dihedral angle. So I also don’t see a sense to make the tail swept. So I’m wondering are GA’s tails usually tapered and swept only for the aesthetic reason?
