2 axis: Ercoupe or Flying Flea?

With the range of experience here I was wondering if one was going to choose a configuration for a two axis control aircraft would you choose an Ercoupe style or a Flying Flea style. Humorous side note: Fred Weick wanted the 'coupe to be a pusher but was denied by the guy footing the bill so I don't consider that config as gospel
