I have 5 or so of these wood ultralight propellers in various states of degradation. Some appear as though they just need to be refinished (no visible damage, just peeling varnish) and some have visible delamination.
From what I've found, a propeller can be refinished by sanding it down to bare wood with 60 to 400 grit sandpaper, epoxying any small blemishes, re-applying new varnish, and balancing. What about larger cracks and delaminated sections? Can they safely be filled with epoxy or wood glue to be reused on an aircraft?
