Ok,as stated in my profile,I'm using an Avid Flyer fuselage and mounting a different wing on it.The airfoil is a naca 4415 and each wing is 16' with a 50" chord, the ailerons are 7'10" with a 15" chord. The Avid wings use full span flaperons, off the top of my head, the span is 31',chord is 51" including the flaperons.
I have to modify the carry throughs, the distance between them,so the new wing's spars will line up and so I can use the folding wing option. The fuselage is sitting on it's conventional gear right now,if I mount my wings to the carry throughs the way they sit now, they will be at an 8 degree angle of attack. The naca 4415 airfoil stalls in the neighborhood of 16 degrees.I'm trying to achieve good STOL performance, and the cruise speed is secondary. It has been suggested to me to increase the angle which would allow me to fly in ground effect more quickly as well as land slower .I was hoping for some input,I could easily increase the angle by 3 degrees now, posibly more,a lot harder after the welding is done.
