There’s been some discussion on the forum about potential issues in laser cutting plywood, and of course there’s the current thread on troubles with a laser on aluminum.

What about 4130 steel? I understand there’s a heat affected zone but how’s it being affected? Sure would be handy to just have someone zap out the myriad of sheet steel brackets in any given tube and fabric airplane.
