I've been around helicopters since 1970, having built one and owned another and now building yet one more and for the life of me I've no idea what a Walking beam is with regards to helicopters. I see it mentioned from time to time but still there is no clear picture what it is.

Anyone?, better yet any one with pictures since some vague description will only succeed in greater confusion :)
