Turnbuckle barrel length: Does the longer barrel provide more take-up length? Presumably, this would be an advantage when using flexible cable (that stretches), such as 7x19? Oddly, I have not been able to find a straight forward answer to this question anywhere.
Are there disadvantages in using the longer barrel (besides a bit of weight)?
