Good evening all,
In the next year or so I'm planning (insurance permitting) to earn my Sport Pilot Instructor certificate and provide transition training for ultralight vehicles to those moving over from GA and the like. And primary ultralight training, of course. There's a dire need and I'm in a position to provide the service.
I'm considering transition aircraft that make sense for that kind of flying. I already have a two-seat Quicksilver Sprint II that you've been watching my build progress on over the last year, although I'll probably upgrade to a Sport 2s for training due to its higher payload. That should cover the pusher crowd. But for the tractor population, I'm pondering what platform would be good. Given the popularity of the Legal Eagle, Airbike, and Affordaplane, I'm imaging that a Double Eagle would probably be the ideal candidate. What say thee?
Edit: I'm aware of the LODA requirement when working for hire.
