Hello All

Just mulling over some thoughts recently and wanted to ask them here!

Hypothetically

speaking - if you were concerned about reducing cost and build time would you opt for a strut braced or cantilever wing? (building from scratch.)

As I understand it a strut braced wing needs less spar structure - so there is a potential cost saving there. But struts and attachment points and hardware would add some cost. Generally speaking - is one cheaper than the other?

And then I started thinking about build time. Is there any advantage going either way?

I understand that there are probably exceptions to the rule but would be keen to know your thoughts.

Cheers
David
