Stits 1965/1985 5th edition manual States HS90X.... 1 coat of Poly-Brush 2 coats of UV absorbing Red Poly-Tone (PT-190 UV) provides complete UV protection.

I do not see that product any more, and the later manuals I see say UV additive is not sufficient ...silver coat is needed. One manual says if you can see light through the fabric you need more silver.

Any history here some can share?
