I have been looking at MIL-F-8785C, which is the mil spec that covers the flying qualities of aircraft.
It mentions damping, rates, control forces, and a bunch of other stuff I don't understand, but no mention of static margin.
Considering the importance of static margin in general aviation (at least for homebuilts and RC planes), why is the military not concerned with it? Or is it buried somewhere in the document under a different name, or perhaps some combination of one or more other parameters?
