Cessna was pretty skimpy on corrosion protective coating in the 1960s-to the late 1970s... I suspected that hidden corrosion... especially in seacoast and high humidity/pollution climates... would be a serious concern. Hmmmm... makes You wonder what other structure could also be experiencing hidden corrosion... such as stabilizer spars/fitting and fuselage stiffeners/frames and fittings. Uggggg.
