i am not yet able to do the exact calculations (will be soon) but these sandwich omegas (in different sizes) could be an alternative to full core sandwich panels. It would replicate the aluminium stringer building concept but with composites. Is there a chance that this alternative construction method could resist buckling better than full core adjusted for weight? Any opinion? Our loved Orion used to favor alternatives to full core.Omega.jpg

maybe carving a little strip on top of the omega and glueing inside a poltruded rod embeded in 45º multiaxial uni?
