Hi all,
Got a question regarding vacuum resin infusion of non-infusion cores - how it is done in the big world by the real-world manufacturers?
EXCLUDING the infusion cores like 3DCORE PET, Soric etc, as these will have a fairly high resin uptake (10mm 3D CORE PET will have a 3kg+ extra uptake per m2!).
Is it actually done in the real world manufacturing or do they only use pre-preg+wet layup for the weight-critical applications?
If it is done, then I'm struggling to understand how would they achieve the good resin flow on both sides of the carbon-core-carbon sandwich in the mold.
Thanks!
