Hi all
Just wondering if there is any difference in strength between the various rib reinforcing methods - e.g the pressed “popsicle stick” type of reinforcement seen in Vans designs v the riveted type of rib stiffeners as seen in the bear hawk type?

Bearhawk

Vans

Apart from the extra material (leading to slight increase in weight and additional cost) for the riveted method are there any other downsides for that method.?
Thanks!
Cheers
