Hello HBA forum!
To quickly introduce myself, my name is Ben and I live in Payson AZ. In the very near future I'm planning to attain my Sport Pilot license and a Quicksilver Sport 2S or SLSA aircraft. I have the fever to fly the skies of beautiful Northern AZ and I can't get it out of my head. Can't wait to get started!
Which brings me to the reason why I'm here. I've been researching their products online exhaustively and it seems as though they have a solid reputation when it comes to performance and reliability but also get a strong nod for their easily assembled kits. But what I was hoping to hear from anyone and everyone here is their experience with these planes. Good, bad, or ugly.
Which one(s) have you owned?
Likes/dislikes?
Recommend them, or no?
If yes, what advice would you have for me as a prospective owner?
What is your take on a BRS?
How easy is it to trailer transport?
I've been looking for websites online for previously owned Quicksilver planes but they appear to be in short order. Are there places online where you can buy a quality used QS for a good price? If not, that's ok. I'm more than willing to pay the price for a new one.
