Dihedral angle is generally defined as the upward angle from horizontal of the wings of a fixed-wing aircraft. I'm wondering what does horizontal of the wings mean? Is that the chord line surface of the wing?
Some reference also gives the definition as: Dihedral requires the wings to have a V shape when viewed from the front. What does it mean by 'the front'? It is in which coordinate?
