Need-to-build

Has anyone built or help to build a KR2? I have plans for the KR2-S but I have always been interested in wood. However there is a larger crowd of KR2 builders (which is a good builder's network)then the other airplane I'm interested in building (Champion V, all wood design, looks like a smaller Falco) I'm 6' 4" would I fit? Also I'm a low time pilot, so a fixed, tri-gear might be better. I need to start building something....the juices are flowing.
