Hi everyone.

I am seeking advice about props from those that are qualified to respond. Of course I will reach out to both the prop hub makers as well as the blade makers, but I’ll still pose the question to our HBA prop gurus.

The application specs are as follows:

Engine 165hp or 200hp (yet to be confirmed)
Constant speed prop required, prop rpm to be 3,000.
Prop diameter maximum 64”
Aircraft anticipated speed range straight and level - 60 knots to 250 knots

My questions are, assuming a 64” diameter prop turning 3,000rpm:

How many blades would be optimum? (Hub is likely to be an Airmaster.)
Who is the best blade manufacturer for this application? Catto, Sensenich, Bolly etc.?

Thanks in advance for your help.
