I'm going to start a project soon that will take an engine 65-85 HP. I'm looking at the VW options and have a question related to RPM.

My prior experience is with engines such as Lycomings. The VW engines look like they're rated at about 1,000 more RPM than you get out of a standard aircraft engine (3400-3600 rpm).

What diameter prop is generally used to keep the tip speed within limits? (And since this is new territory for me, feel free to educate me on other points I should be aware of)
