I have seen pics of some fairly long prop extensions on some of the small aircraft racers at Reno. I’m assuming this is for streamlining purposes and I know those engines run at pretty high rpm’s. When the prop extension gets too long you get into problems with harmonics, which has been thoroughly discussed on these forums. How long of an extension could you get away with without running into those problems. A Jabiru 2200 is the engine I’m interested in using.
