I have seen some aircraft (Quickie, Polliwagen, John Roncz's original design) use a pronounced necking down of the aft fuselage to reduce drag. I was wondering if anyone here thought this was of much value and if there were any references about how to do this out there. I tried looking in Hoerner's "Drag" book but did ot have any luck.
Also is this more effective with a pusher prop? I have read that the single engine performance of the Cessna Skymaster was better on the rear engine than on the front because of this.
