Should the coil pack be "always on", powered from the hot lead of the battery ahead of the master solenoid, OR on whenever the master is on (no switch), OR on it's own switch downstream of the master, OR on it's own switch upstream of the master?
The control box gets switched, for sure.
This would be the primary ignition, there is also a secondary electronic ignition. Sonex/AeroVee.
I was thinking the "always on" option had the fewest failure points, but the resistance of the coil pack might drain the battery, so I'm looking at other ways and means.
I'm currently favoring a DPDT switch UPSTREAM of the master - one pole for the coil, one pole for the control box, both are fused after the switch.
