I do not know weather to be impressed or not,.... being that I am not an expert on fabric or testing. Certainly I know that one sample is not good data, but the test was very close to the numbers given by Oratex. They advertise a glue strength of 100 lb/sq in. The sample failed at 66 lb and was .75 sq in of glue/fabric. Which works out to 88 lb/sq in. The sample failed right in the middle of the glue line, with glue both on the fabric and glue on the aluminum.

Aluminum was Glass Beaded and washed with hot water and Dawn dish detergent and allowed to air dry.

2 thin coats of glue, 1 hr. dry between coats and 1 hr. dry after last coat.

Using a calibrated heat gun at > 212 F the fabric was heat glued to the aluminum using a 1" wallpaper roller to push the fabric down onto the aluminum.

24 hr. later the test was run.
