Hello there everyone, i've been reading the post for a long time and i finally registered. I am 21 years young, I am studying to be a mechanical engineer at the moment. I have flown remote controlled planes , helis, jets, of all varieties. Electric, nitro, gas, gliders, you name it. This summer I want to design and build an ultralight biplane. Im looking for a wing loading of about 4lbs/sq.ft., gross of 550, span of 20', 3 axis controls, wood and fabric, and a stall speed of around 30 mph. I have purchase a polaris snowmobile engine that is rated at 27 horsepower but i think i can squeeze a few more horses out of it though. I would really appreciate any advice that anyone could offer especially about using snowmobile engine in ultralights. I would really appreciate it. Thank you!
