From time to time I have seen some hints about an exception in one of the pilot rules.
Here is what I have in mind. I am considering building a center line thrust twin engine single seat E-HB. I do not have a multi-engine rating.
There have been several references here to not needing a license greater than a private to fly an experimental, I am not certain if it was solo flight or only single seat aircraft.
I have done a lot of reading in the FAR’s. I can’t seem to find a section that applies.
As a practical matter I don’t think it will make much difference whither I fly a single engine or a center line thrust twin, the skills would seem to be the same.
Can anyone point me to the FAR that might cover this?
