As an old guy struggling to lower his project's stall to US number of 51mph/45knots, I'm trying to evaluate Leading Edge VGs, Hoerner Wing tips, L.E. fixed Slats, flap "zero" set at some guesstimated degree position or even reconfiguring the L.E. Profile...

My airfoil is a NACA 641A212 at root and a 64A212 outboard. Someplace in my efforts, I think I remember VGs were better for narrow nosed wings than thicker more rounded. My are narrow.

My original hope is for a combination of "zero" flap fixed at some degree & VGs since simplest for me physically to accomplish.

I'm also soliciting comments regarding interconnecting my ailerons and flaps as "flaperons"but have concern about: interconnection complexity, concern over landing visibility, control low speed effectiveness, etc.

Be gentle <G>,
Dick
