Hello all,
I'm looking to build a simple, slow ultralight probably based on the Texas parasol. I like the idea of aluminum construction with dacron covering. Also considering the poorboy...

I drew the airfoil in the Texas parasol plans to full scale and then compared it to a rib from a minimax. There is enough of a difference to lead me to wonder about what airfoil might be best? The minimax has a lower surface that is flatter over more of its length while the tp is much thinner and a bit longer (in chord). The high point of the tp foil is also further forward.
Any suggestions?
I thought of using a Clark Y with the standard 13% thickness. Just looking for low power requirements and gentle stall characteristics. Speed isn't really a consideration beyond the 103 limitations. Probably looking at 28 to 35 horsepower.

Thanks for any info you can provide...!
