Been lurking here for a few days, after realizing it is time to stop beating around the bush and build my own aircraft. Was considering a Volksplane or Mini Max, but I'm a vintage/warbird guy at heart, and have just stumbled on the Loehle 5151. It may be a bit of a long shot, trying to find a partially built kit/plans (I'd even consider a flying one). I read on here that around 400 sets of plans/kits were sold, and that there's around 100 flying, does anyone have an idea how many are left? I'm still a few months away from purchasing plans, and a few years from being serious about looking for a flying example (re-directing my student loans towards an aircraft may be a bad idea), but I'd like to just get an idea of what my chances are.
Thanks folks!
