Looking at an alternative configurations (like a twin pusher) leading edge (droop) flaps makes some sense, as the trailing edge flaps are broken by the nacelles.
TOWS mentions lift increments of 0.7 however Orion has stated less. Can anyone provide any references, experience regarding actual testing or mention of any aircraft which has used droop flaps alone? How successful were they?
