I just hooked up a new Tiny Tach to my engine, and I don't think it is reading the correct RPM, does any one know if it gets 1 spark for each rotation, or is it more. I also used a hand held RPM meter to measure the crank rpm on the 3 inch, and 8 inch prop adapter. the lower 3 inch crank was reading 4200 or more, when I measured the 8 inch prop adapter it was reading at 6000. at that rpm the engine should have been screaming, and the prop should have been dragging me all over the yard. I cant seem to load the engine, I am running a 3 blade competition prop at 59 inches with the 14 degree pitch blocks, this is the recommended parts for this engine.. any thoughts about what is going on is appreciated, and I cant get it to idle smoothly at 2000 rpm. but tach may not be set correctly
