Moving on from my blow up tips idea....(for very small planes).
My next idea involves providing a 'fairing' at the wing roots that might for instance provide a good transition fairing or wing root from fusalage to wing on say a 'blended wing' design.
My idea was an aircraft that featured folding back wings where the 'carry through' spar was hinged to the root spar with a single solid hinge joint a yard (or more even) outboard of the fusalage (on a kind of spar pylon).
The wings would fold back in one plane rearwards and a fairing would be formed by a fabric 'web' filled by compressed air (kept taut by ram pressure in flight) for a v quick transition from road tow (without trailer in reverse to tailwheel?) to take off.
