Hello all, I live in Houston BC (Canada), and built an Avid Heavy Hauler~ 582 in '90~'91 S/N 594. (registered as an advanced ultralight, Flew for a couple of years, sold out to my flying partner. Well it has returned home after many years, somewhat weathered, but looks structurally sound and motor has good compression, (160 hrs). Going to tear motor down and probably recover, mainly to enable a good structural examination. Having a problem re registering her, I need to find a "Statement of Conformity" for her but seeing as Avid is no longer in business it is looking like it is going to be a problem. If I can't find one, will apparently have to register as a "basic" ultralight. There are a cple pics on my Amateur Radio Page: VE7CUP Callsign Page Last night temp was -37 C, -33 F ?
Cheers all, Ric
