Hi all -
Thought I would finally join and say hello. I have been following several builds for a few years, trying to make sense of everyone's hard work and accomplishments.
Long story short, I grew up knowing I would be a pilot. I mean, it wa be a pilot in the armed services or an astronaut. Duh. So, 30 years later, a wife and kids, I am happily a certified IT guy. Not quite what I had in mind growing up, but things got off target.
Now I am returning to what I wanted and finally am making my flight dreams a reality. My wife sees this as yet another one of my really expensive hobbies. I met her and instead of flying planes, I was busy jumping out off them. Then came a less expensive round in really fast motorcycles from Italy, cost is all relative right? Currently, I have added triathlons to the list, and I still train and race (in fact I am 6 weeks out from the start of the season!). So, now I am adding flight school and looking to gain experience to ultimately one day own a cub variant, with a stretch goal to actually build the thing!
So, joining now to learn more from the general patrons here, as at this point, I just want to absorb as much information (hopefully not too many bad habits ;-)) as possible.
