Hi guys,

I have Daniel Raymer's Aircraft Design: A Conceptual Approach - Fourth edition.
I am having trouble with two equations. Pg. 535 Eq.17.82 & 17.83.
These two equations are for the velocity of the aircraft during a descending turn at min sink.
The first is for the velocity measured at the aircraft's centerline and the second is the velocity measured at the inner wing tip.

My question is; what is Vcg and Y and how do I calculate those 2 values?
