Has anyone ever Stress Tested a Common made Tube & Fabric Wing in CAD?
Like most of these Tube & Fabric Wings use 2" Front & Trailing Spars in either .065", .083", .120" Wall, with 1.0" Compression Struts .065" Wall, with the Fighter Ultralight they use Wing Ribs 3/8" - .035" Wall, Affordaplane 1/2" - .058" Wall which seems to be the most common used.
Rivets & Bolts & Nuts to Assemble them.
I found this interesting Read, while a different Type of Wing than our Ultralight Tube Wing. Testing using different Materials, 2024-T3, 6061-T6, 7075-T651, 7075+15%Fly Ash.

2024-T3 1.0" One Ft. (12") Length .065" Wall - $17.60, Weight, Linear Foot 0.2314 pounds.
6061-T6 1.0" One Ft. (12") Length .065" Wall - $6.34, Weight, Linear Foot 0.2245 pounds.
7075 Tubing is hard to find for a comparison but probably Cost more than 6061 and 2024.
