Greetings all.
I would like to start a discussion about comparing the fuel consumption of similar engines: the Rotax 912 and the O-200. Ok, so they are not really similar except for the power output. And the way they produce power is quite different: small volume and high rpm for the 912, large volume and low rpm for the O-200.
The Rotax burns about 15, 19 lt/hr, while the O-200 slightly more (I think ,correct me if wrong). So, it seems that smaller volume and high rpm (and better technology too, of course) is more fuel efficient than big volume and low rpm.
Thought, opinions, insults?
