Small Continental with a set of cutup/rewelded C150 stacks...4 individual pipes average length about 18" unsupported except at the flange. Approaching 100 hours and just had the 2nd one crack. Not surprising since they're not supported anywhere. First one cracked at a factory embossed swell all round the stack. 2nd one cracked along side the beautiful factory weld on the tube side. I've heard the Ezes had trouble with their short unsupported stacks cracking til they came up with some fix. Anybody know what they did. I don't wanta put hangars on cause of the weight and complexity but may have to. Thanks for the replies
