Greetings Homebuilders,

After drooling over all the interesting choices I would love to have the money to purchase kits for (Velocity XL, Cozy Mk IV, Searey LSX, and more), I've yielded to reality of economics and skill and looking to build a $15,000 aircraft, in the hopes that I can build now, fly it for hours of enjoyment, and recapture the expenditure as I can make the additional expense of a larger aircraft.

I've set my sights on a Minimax Eros, Supermax, or Fisher Avenger V (because I'm a heavy guy and need a wide cabin). My question is: Does such an entry level homebuilt retain much of its value? How easy or hard is it to resell after 5 years? I'm assuming quality maintenance and care of both engine and airframe.
