Greeting to you All,
I am from Bangladesh . I need help form you great engineers regarding a Microlight trike.
basically , I am planning to build a microlight trike from scratch. it would be very basic one.
I guess 10 hp engine will be fair enought for this this minitrike.

Please check the youtube link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puEV2VwXHOk
in brazil he converted an yamaha 180 cc motorcycle engine for this trike , direct drive , no red drive. This is my 2nd ooption.

My first choice is to use a Generator engine ,
Regarding engine , In my country options are limited . I can grab an engine from a generator like this
Honda EG4000 Portable Economy 4000 Watt Generator in this Generator the engine is :

Honda GX270 Honda Engines - GX270 4-Stroke Engine
Engine Type Air-cooled 4-stroke OHV
Bore x Stroke 77 X 58 mm
Displacement 270 cm3
Net Power Output* 8.5 HP (6.3 kW) @ 3,600 rpm
Net Torque 14.1 lb-ft (19.1 Nm) @ 2,500 rpm
PTO Shaft Rotation Counterclockwise (from PTO shaft side)
Compression Ratio 8.5:1
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
My question is , is it possible to use this engine for microlight trike without any red drive ,
Thanks in advance .

Rumman.
