I've never played DCS, but I've seen a number of videos created by DCS players. Some of them have even made their own cinematic movies, etc.

When I was a kid, I used to play combat simulators like F-15 Strike Eagle from MIcroprose, and F-16 Multirole fighter by Novalogic.
Later on, when consoles became the leading game platforms, I used to admire the high graphics quality on auto racing games and wish that could similarly be applied to flight sim games.

Nowadays, with stuff like DCS, the graphics quality is mind-blowing. If you didn't look closely, it's amazingly close to being real.

It's amazing how it's even been turned into an artistic platform.
