Hey all,

Im to the point of fabbing up my tail wheel assembly and I need to get a spring for my double eagle.

Leonard is a little sparse in the plans (or at least im having a hard time finding it) on how the tail wheel spring is set up.

Am I crazy to get a trailer leaf spring and just bend that with the torch and drill holes in it?

Or do most folks just use old Piper springs on these smaller homebuilts?

would greatly appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks!
