Don't know if anyone has posted anything about these clamps but I'll do it anyway... Cam clamps are used by luthiers and furniture builders and are available through luthier supply houses. The clamps are great and aren't prone to squeezing the glue out of a joint but provide very sound clamping pressure. They have cork pads on the ends so are easy on the wood if you clamp with out a caul. You can make them yourself and I have the plans for them, one of my students made me the two short ones in the photo and I have two of the really long ones which were give to me by a Franciscan Monk woodworker in Albuquerque. He made them. So as you can see in the photo I'm using it at a specific point on the F 10 Rudder ply where the large section is glued over a rib gusset. I wanted to be sure of a consistent bond at that point. The staples all get removed.
