Hi, I am new to the group and wondered if there are members of the group who were also involved in a building project; and, are living in Southern California. I am located near Huntington Beach and would like to share information regarding our construction projects. I have been a pilot for over 50 years but this is my 1st builder's project. Although I have owned several planes, ranging from s Piper Vagabond to a Cessna 180, I have never spent much time doing other than general maintenance. The serious work was always done by qualified people. Occasionally, I did help out doing annuals. Consequently, my project has been a real learning experience. My project, a Christavia Mk I, is at the point where I am starting the fabric covering. I will do the ailerons first and, hopefully, get some experience. I also have the firewall/forward part left to work on. Bob
