I am about to build some wing moulds for my plane. There will be plywood formers lined with 7/32" 5 ply underlayment. I need to coat all surfaces of these wooden parts
so that changes in humidity won't rershape my airfoils. I am thinking of using polyurethane furniture finish on everything before assembly. Also I don't much like screwing
the sheating down because it would likely dimple the surfaces and require filling. Small finishing nails would be slightly better and a few to hold things in place while
bonding with some kind adhesive should be doable. The question is what would stick to things encased with two coats of polyurethane?
