I had heard many weights quoted for the BMW V12 engines and they seemed to be spread over about 100# so I decided to buy one today and weigh it and its parts as I removed them. Here's what I came up with on my hoist scale.
Fully dressed with all wiring as pulled. 495.28#
Wiring harness 13.0#
Intake manifold each (has 2) 10.8#
Throttle body each (again, has 2) 3.52#
Fuel rails with injectors 5.18#
Longblock with exhaust 408.62#
Longblock bare with distributors, plugs, wires, water pump, thermostat housing, cooling tubes front to rear, balancer and engine driven clutch fan 378.64#
Seems these numbers are very close to those of a 6.0 LS family engine to start. These are 5.4L 322HP@5000RPM and 361LB-FT@3900RPM Could easily Make Lycoming O-540 power at a very reasonable RPM and piston speed. I will Get dimensions and post later today.
