Just got my questions answered by the manufacturer for their 600 Series PSRU regarding power rating, max RPM, and gear life.

"According to the gear cutters, gears only, 4500 rpm, 600 hp, around 700 lb feet torque.
But as revs drop so does ability to handle torque, it also drops off. This is only gear teeth limits, all else is best guess on comparison to other 600hp gearboxes, bearings, shafts, etc.
I believe this torque limit on the teeth are for a 4000 hour tooth fatigue life.

It is experimental, says so on the side of your plane, be very careful operating this unit and watch for changes in heat or vibration. Change oil regularly looking for signs of deterioration."
