Hi,
Does anyone have any details about what exactly happens to the airflow at/around the spinner of a tractor configured plane? Does it simply flow over the spinner in a nice laminar flow? Is there a stagnation point at the tip? If so, does it make much difference if the tip is pointy or blunt (technical terms, of course...). Does the air become turbulent, and form some sort of a vacuum at the base of the spinner?

I'm trying to conceptualise the airflow, so that i can be sensible about where to put the oil cooler untake.

Diagrams would be nice...
